Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that there will be no trilateral meeting between Ukraine, Russia, and the US to end the war before the parliamentary elections in Russia. The parliamentary elections in Russia are scheduled to take place on September 20.
Zelenskyy stated that negotiators from Ukraine and the US are in continuous contact. He expressed hope for progress in talks on energy and grain-related issues following a proposed meeting with US President Donald Trump at the end of September.
However, this does not mean that the peace process has completely ended. Diplomatic contact between the US and Ukraine continues, and efforts have been made in the past to resume trilateral talks to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
