In the 2026 municipal elections held across six local bodies in Shriganganagar district, voter turnout reached 74.59% by 6 PM on Friday, according to figures released by the election department.
The district has a total of 264,966 registered voters, of whom 197,625 had exercised their franchise by 6 PM.
Turnout by local body:
• Shriganganagar Municipal Council – 71.54% turnout, with 140,606 voters casting ballots.
• Kasirisingpur Nagar Palika – 86.36% turnout, 8,745 voters participated.
• Karampur Nagar Palika – 81.32% turnout, 13,163 voters cast their votes.
• Padampur Nagar Palika – 78.71% turnout, 12,019 voters exercised their right.
• Gajsinghpur Nagar Palika – 84.50% turnout, 6,483 voters voted.
• Sadulshahar Nagar Palika – 86.70% turnout, the highest in the district, with 16,609 voters casting ballots.
Turnout progressed steadily throughout the day: 23.87% by 10 AM, 47.64% by 1 PM, 60.38% by 3 PM, and 74.59% by 6 PM.
Final turnout figures will be released after the conclusion of the electoral process.
