After the municipal council election results were announced, discussions on social media intensified over the BJP candidates’ defeats in Wards 34 and 36. Mukesh Shah, a coloniser, also became a target of trolling by users.
It is reported that Mukesh Shah played a role in securing BJP tickets for Bibiita Arora in Ward 34 and Mahesh Saraswat in Ward 36. Both wards largely fall within the Riddhi‑Siddhi First and Riddhi‑Siddhi Second Colony areas, and Shah had also put his political reputation on the line in these wards.
Following the results, some users posted various comments about Shah. One user wrote, “मुकेश शाह की राजनीति की भ्रूण हत्या हो गई।” Other users made remarks in their own style, though some comments were deemed inappropriate for public posting.
Mukesh Shah’s upcoming assembly election preparations have been a subject of ongoing discussion. The municipal council election, where he helped secure tickets for two candidates, is seen as part of his broader political strategy.
The trolling that began after the defeats in Wards 34 and 36 is being viewed as a form of political analysis of the election outcomes.
