The main events of Xi Jinping’s visit will take place on September 24. A formal State Arrival Ceremony will be organized in his honor at the White House, followed by bilateral talks between Trump and Xi Jinping. In the evening, Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will host a State Dinner for Xi Jinping and Peng Liyuan.
Several key issues, including trade, tariffs, technology, artificial intelligence, and critical minerals, are expected to be at the center of discussions. Despite ongoing trade tensions and technological competition between the two nations, Washington and Beijing are attempting to manage their differences through dialogue.
A significant aspect of this visit is that it will mark the second face-to-face meeting between Xi Jinping and Trump this year.
